The Role..

Flutter Entertainment is a FTSE30 global leader in sports betting and gaming with annual revenues of >£4bn. It has recently merged with the Stars Group to become the largest online betting and gaming company globally. Following the merger, the Group is now restructuring into four divisions. UK&I, International, US and Australia.

The newly formed UK&I division contributes roughly half the revenue and profits of the Group bringing together household names Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair. The UK&I division is itself the size of a FTSE 50-100 business. We are forming a new finance function to drive financial strategy, planning, performance, commercial insight and reporting for the UK&I division.

Working within the UK&I finance team, the Financial Planning & Analysis function is responsible for providing senior management with forecasts for future periods across a blend of financial and operational metrics. Within this team you would be responsible for analysing the divisions' finances with a critical eye - trying to spot data anomalies, trends, or deviations - and then introducing strategies for improvement and setting challenging targets.

The role has many key stakeholders both within the UK&I division and within the wider group. The relationship with the brand finance teams is absolutely pivotal to this role as budgets are built through a combination of top-down guidance and bottom-up budgeting

What You'll be Doing..

• Planning, preparing, communicating and adhering to FP&A timetables including budgets, key reforecasts and our monthly rolling reforecasting process.
• Monitoring, communicating and reporting forecasts and actual variances to management. Presentation skills are key in this area.
• Managing the preparation of budgets from both top-down guidance and bottom up restraints to arrive at forecasts.
• Having a solid understanding of and being able to critically challenge historical data when creating a base for future budgets.
• Continuously liaising with finance teams on both actuals versus existing budgets and setting forecasts for future periods.
• Supporting the Business Planning team in aligning financial, operational and strategic initiatives across the business.
• Building strong professional relationships with corporate FP&A teams and supporting in the consolidation of UK&I division budgets into the wider Flutter Entertainment Group.
• Being responsible for accurate and timely submissions of segment information to group functions. • Continuously challenging and developing the FP&A function to facilitate strategic and financial decision making.
• This is a new role and function within the organisation and therefore you play a role in defining the scope and team required to deliver on its objectives.
