Role purpose:

 

We are currently looking for a candidate with a strong background in technology risk and business continuity management. This role is open to candidates that are local to our offices in Porto, Cluj, Leeds or Dublin or the surrounding areas.

 

Reporting into the Technology Risk Senior Manager – UK, the Technology Risk Manager will play a key role in defining, implementing, and operating a best-in-class risk framework for the Flutter UKI Technology function, and will help define & support the delivery of:

  • Implementation of “Right size” BCP Framework & Governance oversight for UKI & Ireland
  • A single view of Technology Risk across UK & Ireland

 

Working with key stakeholders in the Flutter Group and UKI Technology business, the Technology Risk Manager will help to ensure that:

 

  • The UK&I Tech Risk framework and underpinning risk management activities are well operationalized, embedded, and actioned across the division. This role is key to delivering one of our core security principles; empowering the business to move at pace through effectively managing technology risk.

 

  • The UK&I BCP framework is established and embedded across all business units, while aligning with UK&I operating principles and the overall Flutter Group BCP Strategy, specifically focussing on;

 

  • Development & ongoing continuous improvement to the UKI BCP framework, in line with Flutter Group standards and industry best practice
  • Maintenance of BCP Policy and framework documentation; ensure that plans and supporting documentation remains fit for purpose for the organisation
  • Develop & execute a BCP Testing framework across UKI; provide the business with ongoing assurance that BCP process are adequate & effective
  • Build and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • The UK&I BCP framework is aligned with the UK&I IT Disaster Recovery framework, policy and process

 

The role requires a significant level of engagement across the UKI organisation and to other stakeholders within Flutter Group, some of which are in multiple global locations. Therefore, there is an expectation of travel with this role, as required.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Supports the UKI Technology Risk Senior Manager to govern all aspects of technology risk management across the division
  • Supports the UKI Technology Risk Senior Manager to establish & embed good BCP practices across the division
  • Develops & implements the framework that provides a best-in-class approach to risk management for UKI Technology
  • Develops & implements a divisional BCP framework that maintains compliance with Flutter Group standards, while effecting sustainable cultural change in terms of ensuring the UK&I Division operates a fit for purpose BCP framework and governance structure
  • Ensure that the UK&I BCP framework is developed and aligned with the UK&I IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) framework ongoing; build and maintain effective working relationships with the divisional ITDR team(s)
  • Support the continuous evolution of the technology risk framework, ensuring alignment to Group CRO and other non-technology operational risk processes in the division
  • Supports Technology Leadership by providing the appropriate risk information to enable effective decision making
  • Helps to define, operationalise and embed risk reporting criteria for key tech/non-tech stakeholders in the UKI division and Group
  • Builds effective working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that BCP framework principles are delivered and embedded in a sustainable way
  • Works with other Tech and Infosec teams to ensure that risks have appropriate mitigating controls & actions in place that can be tracked and reported on
  • Responsible for ensuring that all tech risk tracking activities are governed within a single GRC tool
  • Supports the establishment of the framework that links detailed technical risk assessment to enterprise risk management, providing visibility to leadership as required
  • Facilitates risk workshops and thematic reviews across UKI, advising Tech leadership in understanding their risk position.
  • Works with the UKI InfoSec team to support delivery of our Tech and security principles and wider initiatives needed to address identified risks
  • Supports the development of own team and training of UKI colleagues through the mutual sharing of risk knowledge and experience

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Recognized subject matter expert in the fields of BCP & technology risk management
  • Has a passion for BCP and technology risk management, with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing BCP and risk frameworks, risk registers and reporting risk/controls status to senior management
  • Credible & proven ability to lead, mobilize and partner with senior stakeholders within a fast-paced digital business to understand mutual goals, requirements & risks
  • Can demonstrate the communication of complex technical matters to both tech/non-tech audiences
  • Solid understanding of BCP, cyber & technology risk & security frameworks such as; ISO23001, GDPR, ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST, COBIT, ISF etc
  • Can easily identify key issues and challenges, & can communicate them to stakeholders leveraging colleagues as needed to find solutions
  • Strong inter-personnel, analytical & communication skills, with experience presenting to senior Leadership.
  • Solid understanding of Flutter UKI regulatory obligations
