The Role...

The Talent Director is responsible for mobilising, delivering and embedding Flutter UK&I's  end to end Talent strategy, including enabling sustainable culture change across the Flutter UK&I business and executing innovative strategies to reinforce our commitment to attracting and developing the best, most diverse talent in each of our European locations.

Reporting into the Flutter UK&I Chief People Officer (CPO), the Talent Director will lead the Talent Acquisition and Learning and development teams across our European locations and be an influential member of the People Leadership Team. They must be credible and able to influence the UK&I Divisional leadership team, drive change and execute the talent strategy in partnership with the People Directors.

The Talent Director will work with Talent directors (or equivalent) in other divisions and Group to contribute towards global talent management and succession planning.

 

What You'll Be Doing....

  • Deliver a strategy that brings the target culture to life through developing the right leadership behaviours, a memorable, engaging communications plan and targeted interventions that perpetuate long term, sustainable culture change
  • Identify top talent and own the talent pipeline for the UK&I division. In partnership with the UK&I LT develop and manage succession plans for key roles across the division
  • Develop bold and innovative ways to grow talent at Flutter UK&I, across all our Brands, including i) a defined approach to accelerating the readiness of top talent and recognised future successors and ii) using leading edge practices, innovative programmes and tools to create a progressive learning offering for colleagues that helps to develop the capabilities required to achieve our commercial outcomes
  • Leverage data & analytics to drive decisions and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Flutter UK&I talent management and leadership development efforts
  • Collaborate with our People Experience teams to obtain continuous feedback from our employees regarding culture and talent development opportunities; and to drive continuity of the employee offer across business units where appropriate
  • Continue to embed the diversity strategy to achieve the European 2020 target by successfully operationalising targeted interventions to attract and develop a diverse workforce and create an unbiased inclusive culture
  • Continue to evaluate the effectiveness of the performance management approach ensuring high performers are identified and rewarded, low performance is addressed and the values are embedded
  • Continue to embed and optimise our internal European Talent Acquisition practice, ensuring that we recruit the right talent and capabilities to achieve our business strategy, with emphasis on exploring ways to improve the operating model's effectiveness and scalability
  • Provide expert support and coaching to HR Business Partners, leaders and managers to ensure talent initiatives achieve the required outcomes
  • Manage talent and L&D vendors and service providers and monitor performance during delivery to ensure quality and optimum value for Flutter UK&I

 

What We're Looking For....

  • Experience of operating in a senior role within a fast-paced online/eCommerce organisation; demonstrable People/HR experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating multi-faceted, multi-year strategies that contribute to commercial performance
  • Demonstrable experience of leading at scale to successfully deliver against strategic objectives
  • Extensive experience of stakeholder management, up to and including C-suite
