Purpose of the role:

As a Subject Matter Expert  in Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, this person is Flutter's global owner of its Supplier Risk & Relationship ManagementFramework. As such they are responsible for the design and development of this Framework as a best-in-class programme for managing relationships with Third Parties  and all sources of risk to Flutter from same. On a global basis, they will ensure that the Supplier Risk & Relationship ManagementFramework is effectively and correctly applied to help Flutter obtain optimum benefit from its relationships with Third Parties while holistically managing our exposure to all forms of supplier risk, throughout the supplier life cycle.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as an Subject Matter Expert on Third Parties risk, including relevant regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices. Maintain relationships with industry peers and regulatory bodies.
  • Draw on experience and knowledge as Subject Matter Expert to develop and maintain Flutter's global Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, strategy, policy, processes and systems (“SRRM Framework”).
  • Establish strong relationships with global cross-functional, cross-brand stakeholders in developing and implementing Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, Framework
  • Design and map processes to implement Supplier Risk & Relationship Management strategy across all regions, and drive the ongoing effective and timely operation of same. Such processes to cater for areas including:-
    • Risk Assessment (e.g. surveys)
    • Performance Management (e.g. Business Reviews (“BR's”), Reviews of contracts and Service Level Agreements (“SLA's”)
    • Exit Risk Management
  • Design and produce appropriate KPI's on relevant activities, benchmarking internal performance against best-in-class standards and industry leaders
  • Training of users in effective following of Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, processes, providing training materials where necessary.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing appropriate technology for Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, activity (e.g. Supplier Onboarding and Collaboration tools). Engage with SRRM stakeholders in and beyond Procurement team to understand and address their Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, systems needs.
  • Review and approve supplier onboarding and contract review requests from a holistic risk perspective, considering risk dimensions such as credit, compliance, IT Security, Data Protection
  • Ensuring that new suppliers are assigned risk scores and accurately tiered at the point of onboarding, and that these drive future Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, activities for same.
  • Ensuring clear, measurable SLA's established by Business Owners with suppliers, providing assistance including SLA templates and review of drafts prepared
  • Developing resources to be used by participants in ongoing Supplier Risk & Relationship Management,. Examples include templates for BR invitations, agendas, presentations, minutes, SLA's, assessments, surveys
  • Ensuring appropriate follow-up actions taken in response to Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, activity outcomes (e.g. remedies, supplier meetings)
  • Development and production of accurate reports and dashboard to help ensure oversight of Supplier Risk & Relationship Management,activity, metrics and KPI's
  • Respond to relevant internal and external audits, exams and requests for information. Assist in the evaluation of audit and examination findings, provison of responses and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Review terminations of relationships with suppliers, ensuring all appropriate steps taken and relevant risk experts consulted to facilitate safe exits.
  • Dotted line management of resources who may support the Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, process. Includes training, task review, feedback for performance assessment. At time of writing, this role will not have any direct reports. However, this may change. If so, typical activities in formal management of staff would be requitred (e.g. recruitment, objective setting).
  • Any other tasks that support effective management of TP relationships and risk associated with same.

 

Ideal candidiate should have following experience/skills/attributes:

  • Extensive knowledge of Supplier Risk & Relationship Management, strategy, processes, best practice, systems and innovations and experience designing, implementing and managing same.
  • 3rd level education (e.g. degree and/or similar professional qualification such as from CIPS).
  • Qualifications relating to Risk Management would be a distinct advantage.
  • 10+ years experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in developing and implementing improvements.
  • Strong customer service skills, maintaining awareness of customer needs.
  • Seeks feedback on processes and systems to gather perspectives and ideas for improvements
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic,flexible and innovative environment
  • Enthusiastic, self-driven and with a high level of self-motivation to overcome obstacles
  • Ability to communicate with senior management in a self-confident and professional manner
  • Ability to present a positive and professional face of team and Flutter at all times
  • Experience in effectively leading teams would be an advantage
  • Interest in sport and gaming and experience working in these sectors would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a global role would be a distinct advantage.
