Retail Solution Designer – Dublin based - Hybrid approach to WFH & office based working

 

The Team

This is a key role within the Retail Technology team. A diverse and exciting team covering all areas of technology within our UK & Irish Retail estate. You will be central to progressing technology solutions and the architecture of our technology across our Retail Systems.

As a Solutions Designer you will spend time with the people of the PBB Technology business, developing and evolving the architecture of all the business technology systems and collaborating with the most senior technologists and stakeholders across the business.

In this role you will take a leading approach to reviewing & designing the solution architecture strategy of the business and have a strong technical background and understanding of networking (routing, switching & firewalls), operating systems, applications and application clusters, security and Azure cloud technology..

As part of this collaborative approach you will be comfortable negotiating, thinking strategically, and be confident in the solutions you are offering.

Role Summary

The Solution Designer is the primary role in planning and delivering scalable, reliable on-premise technology and public cloud platforms across the Retail Estate. Working closely with technical stakeholders across the division you will design and document solutions capable of meeting the demanding requirements for stability and scalability necessary to underpin a rapidly growing retail gaming and betting business.

The role is a Permanent Role. You will work closely with Product Owners, 3rd Party Vendors and wider Technology Teams to analyse requirements, create technology designs and solutions to meet our customer requirements. The Solution Designer is responsible for architecture, technical implementation planning, technology consultancy and solution design support to the technology delivery teams.

The Solution Designer will be responsible for assisting in planning, reviewing, and researching, to provide input to key technology decisions and will contribute to steering the direction taken by retail technology to build out a world class technology, hosting and management services.
