The Role...

Global HSSE is leading the development of Flutters global Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental framework and standards. The team is searching for a strategically driven, but hands-on, HSSE Senior Manager to help identify Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment challenges specific to the business and implement innovative solutions that will remove roadblocks and allow teams to seamlessly execute.

As an advocate of HSSE for Flutter, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage exciting regional and global health and safety projects, as well as energy and sustainability projects, that help enable statutory and industry compliance and help us drive carbon reduction and improve the sustainability of our property footprint. Working with teams across the region and globe, you'll need excellent stakeholder management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate and present information to seek buy-in.

What You'll Be Doing...

  • Support the HSSE team in the strategic design, development and implementation of Global HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Support the HSSE team in rigorous setting, scoring, and tracking of key goals and objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders in the Flutter organisation to promote, change, and deploy new HSSE tools and strategies.
  • Create and manage the execution of a comprehensive energy and carbon reduction strategy for our buildings.
  • Projects may involve energy and carbon reduction, demand response, energy data management and new building technologies. The candidate will help analyze and report on. performance metrics, complete feasibility analysis and evaluate potential savings opportunities in the energy and carbon space.
  • Develop relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders across regional and global operations, corporate workspace, and global HSSE support.
  • Participate in site visits of both Retail and Corporate Real Estate to provide support in areas of accident management, risk assessment, fire safety and other aspects of statutory compliance.
  • Design appropriate metrics, tools, and methods to track and sustain improvements.
  • Manage the deployment of projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against our energy targets.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare and manage the sustainability budget, both OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Keep abreast of best practices in HSSE and participate in conferences and related events to identify new ideas and practices.
  • Assist business teams with deployment of water efficiency and waste reduction projects.
  • Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For...

  • A minimum of 7 years of industry or consulting experience in Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental project, program or operational management, or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivation with a strong affinity for vision setting, strategic problem solving and driving action.
  • Ability to tell clear, compelling stories out of complex issues and analysis.
  • Influential with great presentation skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Experience managing project timelines, contractor scopes, and project budgets.
  • Experience with standard building systems (HVAC, lighting, and building shells).
  • Experience using working knowledge of demand-side energy analytics and management (e.g., building operations, building management systems, self-generation, etc.).
  • Energy auditing or commissioning experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with demand side utility programs and incentives
  • Experience with process efficiency improvements
  • Experience with water efficiency projects
  • Knowledge of energy markets
  • Other desired certifications: PMP, Lean/ 6 sigma, CEM, LEED
  • Flexible approach to solutions and the ability to think outside the box.
