Role purpose:

The Senior Project Manager will work with key business customers, stakeholders, external technology partners and other groups within PPB business to lead complex initiatives from concept to customers. 
This role is trusted to drive the successful delivery of complex initiatives through effective planning, risk management and communication with the relevant stakeholders. 

As an experienced Project Manager, you will have strong foundational knowledge of all areas of project delivery and will be seen as a go-to person.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning of product and technology initiatives based on prioritization input and for owning supplier relationships from a technology perspective.

Stakeholder Management 

  • Simplifies complex issues/risks/plans to effectively communicate (both written and verbally) with non-technical Senior stakeholders Communicates effectively and confidently with senior level stakeholders including MD and Exco level.
  • Provides clear concise communication to all levels of the organisation (Communicate effectively and credibly across a wide range of channels with senior stakeholders). 

Governance, Programme Delivery

  • Leads stakeholder meetings effectively (including steering meetings). 
  • Keeps development team well informed of changes to specifications and scope. 
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Defines and agrees initiative level communication plan. Communicates effectively as per agreed comm
  • Quickly adapts planning to new and unfamiliar complex initiatives across different domains
  • Is accountable for all initiate Lifecyle ceremonies including kick-offs, realisation reviews, retros, steering meetings etc.   
  • Identifies, tracks and manages initiative risks and issues through to closure – ensures senior stakeholders are informed of progress and resolution.
  • Determine an optimal method for effective flow of communication between multi-regional teams.
  • Clearly articulates priorities to the delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitates Technology input into Investment Requests.
  • Provide visibility of project resourcing from a capacity and capability point of view.
  • Compiles the retrospective outputs with value delivered, OKRs performance, ROI, effort, cost, lessons learned, actions that can lead to improvement.   
  • Coordinates the assessment of value in continuing investing effort in the initiative (what, value, effort, impact on tribe priorities & capacity).   
  • Able to adhere to optimal methodology, in line with the agreed operating model and initiative specifics.
  • Applies standardised of ways of working, artefacts, language, etc.
