The Role…

Do you relish a challenge and value learning?

As a global trading floor, we are predicting thousands of sporting and racing outcomes a week and manage odds changes in the millions. Our quants team build mathematical models that combine the predictive power of our data with expert judgement.

Innovation is at the heart of what we do. We want to build the engines that power exciting ways of betting on what is happening live on the court, the field, the course and the pitch.

We want models that react to new information at speed.

We want to find novel ways of testing and tuning our performance.

If you are looking for a small team, with challenging work and the space to learn, proof of concept and explore, come talk to us.

What You'll be Doing…

  • Working in a team to design and develop models that predict sports and racing outcomes
  • Working with developers and data to ensure models that can be built and improved at pace
  • Analysing and improving model performance
  • Working closely with expert sports traders to gain their insights and feedback
  • Explaining your reason and approaches clearly to outline strengths and limitations of your models
  • Learning from and supporting your team mates to raise the bar in our maths, stats, machine learning, modelling, analysis & coding expertise!

What We're Looking for…

Would you consider yourself to be a critical thinker?

Do you have a passion for using maths and science to find an accurate signal in the noise?

Do you have a honours degree in a quantitative or technical discipline?

  • Knowledge of a statistical package and programming proficiency (R, Python)
  • Understanding of probability
  • Some SQL to query database
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical and machine learning models an advantage
  • Knowledge of simulation and optimisation techniques an advantage

If you have gaps and excel in other areas, we can develop those skills on the job.
