The Role...  

This is a key role within the Retail Technology team. A diverse and exciting team covering all areas of technology within our UK & Irish Retail estate. You will be central to ensuring the quality of Retail Systems which are delivered via the Retail Technology Team (internal and 3rd parties) to our Retail customers and staff. 

We are looking for a talented Software Tester to who wishes to upskill in the area of automations and RPA using tools like IBM Watson and UI Path Orchestrator. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience in software testing including methodologies, processes and tools. Reporting to the Product Delivery Manager, you will work closely with Product Owners, Developers and Support Teams to identify opportunities for automation, analyse requirements, create automation routines including maintenance overtime. We will provide training in UI Path and IBM Watson to allow you to excel in the role.


What you'll be doing...  

  • Testing Retail products including developing test and automation plans and scenarios in accordance with User Stories.
  • Design, Develop and Maintain test and automation scripts using Micro Focus UFT, UI Path and IBM Watson test / automation tools.
  • Tracking and reporting test results, and managing defects through to closure
  • Working closely with the stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards
  • Work closely with internal development teams and 3rd party vendors to verify version releases
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of Paddy Power's best practices for testing
  • Troubleshooting test environment and application configuration issues
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and process review and lessons learned activities


What we need from you... 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software development and testing cycles.
  • ISTQB certified tester (or similar)
  • Trained and proficient in Microfocus UFT testing tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work effectively with other teams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organised and quality driven.
  • Knowledge and understanding of betting industry is an advantage but not essential
