Commercial Performance Executive - Racing

The Role… 

This role will work report into the Performance Manager – Racing with key stakeholders across many areas of the business to support the decision-making process and overall direction of the Racing proposition across both the Exchange and Sportsbook. Within the team you will delve into Commercial performance reporting, promotional performance and other specific Racing analytical requests to fully understand trends developing a broad range of analytical skills.  


What You'll be Doing… 

  • Performance DriversEvaluate and understand the drivers of Racing performance 


  • Promotional Performance: Analyse our Racing promotions with the goal of improving efficiency of spend towards our highly engaged customers    


  • Data and Insights: Use data and insights to understand customer behaviours and reach accurate conclusions to drive decision making 


  • Customer Experience: Show how customer experience and interactions impact Racing performance.   


  • Reporting: Create automated tracking and reporting of our Racing performance  


  • Collaboration across Betfair UKIWork closely with multiple areas within the business to understand what impact initiatives have on performance and how we can initiate the next best action. 


  • Key Racing Outcomes: Prioritise key outcomes for the Racing product to align the business to focus on what really matters 


  • Relentless Pursuit: the UK&I business is at a stage where growth is in our sights. As such the entire Betfair team need to pursue any opportunity for improvement and growth with all central teams.

What We're Looking For... 

  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, statistics, economics etc) 


  • Strong analytical background; high numerical aptitude is required along with basic SQL skills 


  • Excellent communication skills with ability to deliver technical details effectively to all levels within a business 


  • 1+ years commercial experience in a customer focussed analytical, statistical or quantitative role driving business decisions 


  • Team player with the ability to build successful relationships and positively influence people.  


  • Experience using Looker or other relevant BI tools an advantage 


  • Knowledge of R (or equivalent) an advantage 


  • Knowledge of online/offline sports betting an advantage
