The Role....

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Flutter UK & Ireland Legal Team.  You'll work on a broad range of contentious matters for Flutter and its iconic UK&I brands: Betfair, Paddy Power and Sky Betting & Gaming. 

We like our lawyers to have as much exposure across the business as possible and so you'll be advising colleagues in the business directly on a variety of disputes and legal claims, employment related issues and regulatory questions.

You will provide advice and guidance to the Regulatory Compliance, AML, Safer Gambling, Customer Operations and Retail Teams.  You will proactively develop best practices and ensure our operations are carried out in line with our legal and regulatory obligations.  It is essential that you have the confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and to manage a busy and varied workload.

What We're Looking For....

We're looking for a litigation lawyer that has around 2 to 3 years' PQE.  It is important that you have solid experience of day-to-day management of disputes and legal claims and that you can demonstrate the flexibility to deal with various legal issues as they arise.  You will have a proactive, solution-oriented attitude to resolving business issues.

• Ideally you will have some experience of advising on employment law related issues, or you will have the appetite to do so.
• You will have trained at a highly regarded law firm. Some previous in-house experience is desirable, but not essential. 
• You'll be a great communicator, build relationships with key stakeholders and have the ability to balance the commercial demands of the business against legal risk.
• You will have a desire to understand Flutter's business and will want to work in a fun and exciting, fast-moving, technology-driven sector within a dynamic regulatory environment.
