Role Overview:

 

Reporting to the Commercial Director, Betfair Gaming UKI, you'll be responsible for the reporting and analysis of the commercial performance while driving key decisions for the future success of the business through your commercial insights. You'll also lead on the Gaming commercial operations agenda across various key projects in the sustainable gambling, regulatory and risk management space. You'll lead a team of 5 and be a proud Betfair Gaming Leadership Team member.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Lead on performance reporting and analysis for the business. You'll simplify complex problems and communicate succinctly to senior stakeholders
  • Lead on major strategic and commercial analysis to influence the short and long term direction of the business
  • Coordinate & supervise the performance team backlog to ensure appropriate performance and analytics support is offered at all levels effectively
  • Coach, develop and lead a team of talented commercial analysts
  • As a business user, identify major data & reporting capabilities enhancement with the objective of provide better insights more efficiently
  • Represent the Betfair Gaming business and co-lead on a number of key regulatory and sustainability initiatives; influencing decisions, estimating benefits and commercial impact, implementing best practices and measuring results
  • Lead the team responsible for core Gaming operational and risk management areas, including stake limits, major loss occurrences, major customer issues escalations
  • Represent the Betfair Gaming Business as a passionate Leadership Team member within the wider Flutter UKI group, also co-leading on all development, wellbeing and recognition initiatives for the Betfair Gaming team members

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

              

  • Proven track record of commercial experience
  • Previous head of level experience in a B2C environment, owning a functional area
  • Analytical thinker and proven experience of working in large data sets and driving action
  • Understanding of the Gaming business and industry a plus. Experience in it a strong plus.
  • A demonstrable understanding of commercial performance and how levers within a business can be used to influence that performance 
  • Experience in working with a very wide variety of stakeholders across a complex / matrix organisation
