Role Overview

 

The Head of Gaming Product will have the responsibility to deliver products that bring the Betfair brand to life at every gaming product touch point.

 

The role will be to live and breathe how our customers interact with our gaming products to ensure we deliver an easy & speedy, engaging, innovative and above all safe set of customer experiences that helps Betfair win in a highly competitive, regulated market.

 

The Head of Gaming Product will develop and execute against a vision & strategy for how Betfair can leverage its significant development resources and game supplier partnerships to create a differentiated and market leading mobile led gaming offering.

 

This is a senior role within the Betfair UKI business that will help ensure Betfair Gaming continues to develop as a leading provider of Gaming services in the UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will report to the Betfair Director of Product and will work closely with the broader Betfair Gaming Tribe to ensure maximum alignment across our strategic pillars.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure the Betfair gaming product performance and user experiences will be on a par with or exceed industry leading digital experiences
  • Align with key stakeholders in Commercial, Marketing, Tech, Compliance, Insight, Design amongst other areas to validate, refine and optimise your product strategy & roadmap priorities based on customer insight, relevant data, commercial performance, regulatory requirements and the competitive market context
  • Ensure the product experience across all gaming products i.e. Sportsbook, Exchange, Casino, PBX, aligns with the overall Betfair gaming customer proposition
  • Manage and develop a team of product & content experts around a culture of high performance
  • Own the gaming content roadmap to ensure Betfair's portfolio of games is constantly evolving to deliver a market leading suite of games to customers
  • Ensure optimisation of game content merchandising across our range of sites & apps in order to serve customer demand and improve commercial performance
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business & externally where Betfair gaming have dependencies in delivering product/ platform features and/ or games content
  • Provide regular updates on product performance and delivery progress against roadmap deliverables.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

 

  • Strong industry experience with excellent domain expertise in particular with regard to slots, live casino, gaming content providers and gaming product/ platform development generally
  • Experienced people manager – able to provide clear direction along with both development challenge and opportunities for your team
  • Ability to work extremely effectively as part of cross-functional teams in various time-zones/ countries, and develop strong stakeholder relationships, influencing skills
  • Demonstratable experience in building high quality gaming products, platform capability & delivering great customer experiences.
