The Role...

The UK&I finance team support SBG, Betfair and Paddy Power brands in a division that generated £1.8bn revenue in 2019. 

The role will be responsible for business partnering the Betfair Sports Director and their Leadership team for the Betfair UKI business. It will be instrumental in maximising Contribution through revenue analysis, strong cost control and supporting the business in finding opportunities to drive growth.


What You'll Be Doing...

  • Primary finance point of contact for Sports Director and their leadership team.
  • Manage the global quarterly budget and forecasting cycle for the Sports P&L- both sportsbook and exchange (including Premium).
  • Commercial finance owner of Sports P&L, providing comprehensive analysis on performance vs. expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, establish a strong relationship with the Procurement and Commercial Negotiations teams to input into key Sports related spends and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain close relationship with Accounting Operations team to fully understand all month end accounting
  • Provide input to key commercial and analytical issues and decisions, attending business meetings when appropriate.
  • Management of Commercial Analyst.
  • Ad hoc support for manager, when required.

  • Credible with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly numerate with strong financial and analytical skills as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE
