The Role...

As a member of the Retail Leadership team, the Director of Retail Product will own the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for all Retail Sportsbook products including ‘over the counter' (OTC) betting, ‘self-service betting terminals' (SSBTs), payment methods, digital touchpoints in shops, and employee systems.  They will also be accountable for driving the omnichannel product strategy in support of the overall Paddy Power goals.


What You'll Be Doing...

  • Ensure our product set delivers against both the customers' needs and the business strategy, creating the most engaging and compelling betting experience on the high street
  • Act as a key member of the Retail Leadership team to drive overall performance and profitability of the Retail business
  • Manage and optimise our suite of existing products to deliver continued revenue growth whilst introducing new products:
    • Define and deliver new OTC and SSBT products
    • Build new omnichannel features, to enable customers to transact seamlessly in shops and online
    • Continue to develop the screens and audio solution, to best deliver against customer needs
    • Work with the Country Directors to ensure that our shops have the right products in the right places for our customers
  • Articulate the vision for great product management and bring it to life by effectively managing the retail product team, including recruiting, training, retaining and driving engagement with the right culture
  • Derive decision making through a data-led approach across our product suite
  • Work closely with existing and new 3rd party suppliers to ensure timely and effective delivery of products to customers in at commercially viable manner
  • Research new product trends, alongside local and international competitors to serve as the Group turn to person for retail product innovation
  • Lead in defining the future of Paddy Power shop experiences, working with the Leadership team to define a vision and strategy
  • Rigorously build and test business cases for the delivery of new product investment ensuring we maximise return on investment and support individual shop profitability
  • Lead on all Retail technology projects and work with the retail and central technology teams to continuously improve the ways of working and processes in place


What We're Looking For...

  • Educated to degree level (preferably Masters level)
  • A clear demonstrable track record of high-quality project management involving multiple stakeholders both internal and external
  • Product management and betting experience is preferable but is not a pre-requisite
  • Hands on commercial experience preferably including contract negotiation, demand side SLA management and investment assessments
  • Previous experience in leading and managing high calibre individuals and teams
