The Role...

The Digital Director, within the Central Marketing Office, is responsible for the digital marketing strategy and execution across several core channels within the UK&I division. You will be a digital thought leader and a key colleague for senior stakeholders both within our UK&I brand teams and with external partners.

A key focus of this role will be to ensure that your team is consistently succeeding new customer acquisition targets across a wide range of channels. Whilst initially focused mostly on Paddy Power and Betfair UK&I, you will play a key part in evolving the central team to support future business strategy. 

 

What You'll Be Doing....

  • Develop and deliver the digital marketing strategy for the marketing performance channels across the relevant UK&I brands (initially this will include PPC, SEO, Affiliates and Acquisition Promotions for BF UKI and PP, along with SEO for SBG).
  • Define and deliver budgets for each team under your control and report frequently against progress, suggesting opportunities to go faster or mitigate risk
  • Build a cross-team culture of learning and development, both with your own digital team and other marketing stakeholders in the brand divisions.
  • Play a key role in helping the Flutter business understand where central capability and brand autonomy works best to achieve results
  • Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term opportunities/issues
  • Manage UK&I Flutter relationships with key third parties, including Google & Facebook
  • Coach business stakeholders and proactively suggest new ways to leverage Digital
  • Lead on ensuring digital campaigns are compliant with all regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate digital thought leadership, foster productive business relationships and work with Head of MarTech to build strong sponsorship of our technology architecture and product roadmap.
  • Devise strategies to increase online traffic to brand products, tracking conversion rates and advising updates and improvements to the website as needed along the way.
  • Enable the organization to use data and testing plans to continually optimize and maximize revenue.
  • Recruit and maintain a best in class digital team.

 

What We're Looking For...

  • A track record of leading marketing teams within a digital business
  • Demonstrable experience of driving change, ability to identify and change key business processes in order to improve the quality and impact of marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a proven ability to motivate and influence people to deliver results
  • Extensive experience of stakeholder management, including C-suite
  • Digitally savvy – a strong understanding of the digital landscape and the ability to stay in front of the competition
