The Role..

 

 

As a Compliance Officer within the UK and Ireland division, it will be your role to assist in ensuring regulatory compliance is firmly embedded within the development and delivery of Paddy Power Betfair's rapidly expanding product portfolio. You will work closely with Product, Technology and Operational teams to ensure our customer facing products are compliant with the legislation and regulations in licensed jurisdictions.

 

 

What You'll be Doing..

 

 

  • External Stakeholder Management: Being a lead point of contact for regulators in European jurisdictions where Paddy Power Betfair holds licences.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Establishing ‘compliance' champions across the business to support and embed the culture of compliance across locations.
  • Problem Solving: Identify innovative solutions to compliance issues and socialise these potential solutions within the regulatory compliance team for possible improvement prior to discussing with other departments.
  • Procedure Development: In conjunction with Compliance Managers develop procedures and improve existing tools for use within the department.
  • Reporting: Preparation of management reports as well as ensuring the group is compliant with all its reporting requirements as set out by the relevant regulators.
  • Maintaining a development roadmap: Ensuring the business is aware of any upcoming changes to products and systems, and their impact on regulatory compliance.
  • Advising on Policies and Procedures: Supporting the development and implementation of policies and procedures throughout the Group to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Other:  Any other related tasks assigned to you by line management.

 

 

What We're Looking For..

 

  • Degree qualified.
  • Experience in documentary review.
  • Experience in legal or regulatory environments.
  • Experience of working within the remote gambling industry.
  • Ability to identify weaknesses in procedures and controls and recommend improvements to those weaknesses.
  • Experience in drafting Policy documents with support from subject matter experts.
